Working with a professional model, you will learn how to direct them, gaining the confidence to get the best possible results for your work. Each pupil will be allocated time with the model to direct as they see fit and create unique images. The format of the day will follow the same professional production process used on our professional shoots. What wardrobe and styling options will you go for? Do you want to change the background? What lighting options would be most applicable for the shoot? What lens choice? Composition? Why have you made those decisions? You are guaranteed to leave the course having gained knowledge and confidence.

This unique, tailored course is for anyone wanting to hone their skills to ensure they get the best possible representation of a product for online content or advertising. If you're working to a budget and you cannot justify buying lighting, then we will show you how to use natural or ambient light best. If you already have lighting, then you'll learn some pro techniques that will give your imagery a professional look. You will learn about white balance settings to ensure colour consistency. For any reflective objects, we will impart pro skills & techniques to help ensure the products are lit correctly and reflections kept to a minimum.
You will leave informed and armed, ready to shoot.

Would you like to get hands-on experience in a studio environment working with a camera that used to be the 'go-to' tool for all commercial advertising photographers? Well, that's what this 'analogue' course will offer.
You will learn the workings of the Sinar 5x4 camera in our studio.
We will provide you with exciting options for subject matter that will challenge you to light and arrange as you see fit.
